Get paid for not doing much

Tagged Under : ,

There are some things that you can question when it comes to getting what u paid for. But then theres a times where you can get paid for doing absolutely nothing and then you don’t question it. So I want to talk about this for a minute. I call it:  Getting Paid For Filling Out Surveys!
Its kinda unique because you get paid for the things you already like to do. For example: shopping, trying out new stuff, examining products and giving your opinion about it and there seems to be alot of money out there to do these things. You can get paid up to $75 for filling out a 30 min survey. Right now you can register for half price which is nominal but might be worth the price tag. My advise is to try it out and see for yourself. After all the only thing you have to lose is some of your time.

What is it called? Reverse Phone Dectective?

Tagged Under : ,

Yep that is exactly what its called. You know the kind that call you and you don’t know who they are, especially the ones constantly bothering you, or they tell you who they are but you have a funny suspicion they’re not who they say they are? Well one place they cant hide, and its called….. Reverse Phone Dectective. OK! Enough with the antics! This is somewhat of a breakthrough and incredibly fast. And for a nominal fee you can get this service. Whether the number is listed or unlisted. You can find out their carrier their real name and address etc. I was in shock when i tried it myself at how fast the results came back .
See what I’m talking about Click Here!

So if you ever experience someone you may suspect might be telling a little white lie about

themselves, give this a try and you’ll probably find out the truth in a hearbeat. It’s that good.

Obama`s Interview on The View

I think Obama did an excellent job on his interview yesterday with the ladies at The View.  I must say he has a very good chance of becoming our next president.  He mentioned on his interview about fighting back using the truth while campaigning.  The truth is always a great defense which is infrequently used in political campaigns.  I applaud Senator Obama because the American people (including me) always want to hear “the truth” about our country mainly on where it’s heading.

Easy Recipe…Jamaican Rice & Peas!

I will be sharing other Caribbean recipies as well.  I’m starting off with a very easy one…Jamaican Rice & Peas.  I cook this dish often for my family and they like it!  From the time I asked my good Jamaican friend Shelly Ann (a.k.a. Shells)who lives in GA how to make this dish, I’ve been cooking it quite often.  So,  try it, you may just like it!

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups Dried red kidney beans soaked overnight
2 cups long-grain white rice
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk
2 scallions, chopped
2 Clove garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon thyme
salt, black and/or hot pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Boil the beans, garlic and salt until the beans are tender. Save three cups of the liquid.
  2. Place the beans and the three cups liquid into the pot along with the remaining ingredients.
  3. When it comes to a boil, add in the rice. Let it boil for 20 minutes and simmer until all the water has dissolved.
  4. Stir it with wooden spoon to keep from sticking to the bottom of the pot.

Road Trip Vacation

My family & I including some of my in-laws just came back from vacation on Sunday.  It was a long road trip but it was worth every minute of it.  We all drove to Mobile, AL where we parted our ways.  My family continued on to GA while the others continued to FL.  While at our good friends in GA, I was inspired to start my very own herbal garden.  I’m starting with oregano, mint & thyme.  I was told what a rich antioxidant oregano is & by reading more about this herb I will be using more in my tea.  Yip, I make it a priority to drink a cup of green tea everyday but now I can add oregano too.  Oregano is excellent for coughs & colds and can also be used as a remedy for other discomforts as well.  Hope you are inspired some day to start an herbal garden too!

Entering Reversed ATM PIN#

If many of you out there received an e-mail stating that if a thief wanted to rob you at an atm machine and you entered your pin # backwards this would alert the police. It is simply not true!  If you know someone who works at a bank, ask them or go to www.snopes.com because this site clears up a lot of rumors.

Humor or Humiliation

I personally feel that the cartoon illustration of the Obamas on the New Yorker magazine was and is distasteful.  It amazes me that they will use a lame excuse calling the drawing satire.  Did they look up the meaning of the word ’satire’ before using this word?  It didn’t seem so.  We live in a very political world commencing right here at home, the United States of America.  It seems childish and immature knowing that fellow Americans think of the Obamas that way knowing very well that he could become our next president.  My mother taught me that if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it at all.  In this case though it should be, if you don’t have anything nice to draw don’t draw it at all!  :)

Living in the now

How many of you out there concentrate on living in the now than living in the future?  What I mean is, are you more worried about what’s going on in your life now, or are you more worried about your life in the future.  To me making things right in the now is more important.  Even though the state of the economy now seems to be a factor, I think it’s how we deal with it now is what truly matters.  If your finances are not too stable in this trying time, ask yourself what are you going to do to help your situation. Are you going to cut back on wants?  Are you thinking of downsizing?  Are you going to have a garage sale?  The questions can go on, but the important jist of this is don’t complain if you are not doing anything to help your situation.  Makes sense right?

Why didn’t he just zip it?

Yet another example of keeping one’s mouth closed, because you just don’t know who might be listening.  Yes, I am speaking about Rev. Jesse Jackson.  He knew that he was doing a television interview and I’m sure he was aware that amic was attached to him.  Why didn’t he just keep his comments to himself until he got to the hallway or even out of the building?  I guess that comment was so important to him that he just had to let his fellow interviewee know at that given time.  My mother taught me that if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all, cause you just never know who could be listening.  Also, it is always after the fact that here comes an apology.  If he zipped it to begin with he could have avoided the very much public embarrassment.  Sometimes people just don’t learn their lesson the first time around!

Much love,

Solange
